In an ideal world we would have the option to literally walk outside our home to access all the amenities needed. What if the amenities came to you, even better. Luckily, Bougainvillea is in the very fortunate position of being located amongst such a desirable location.
Location is a Crucial Deciding Factor
Location is a crucial factor when choosing an independent living senior apartment. Think about what’s most important to you regarding proximity to family, friends, and essential services, consider the following:
- Close to Family and Friends: Being near loved ones can make visits more accessible and help you stay connected. Consider how far you will have to go to visit family or have them see you.
- Access to Healthcare: Look for apartments near medical facilities, doctors’ offices, and hospitals. Quick access to healthcare can provide peace of mind in case of emergencies.
- Nearby Amenities: Consider the convenience of nearby amenities such as supermarkets, shopping centres, good restaurants, nature, and entertainment options. Easy access to these amenities can enhance your lifestyle and make daily tasks more manageable.
An ideal destination is within a supportive community, with convenient access to essential services making life less stressful. From peaceful neighbourhoods and high-quality healthcare to diverse amenities and social activities, you want the location/retirement village of choice to provide a balanced, enjoyable lifestyle that’s hard to beat.
Let’s Explore One of the Many Locally Owned Businesses literally a Hop Skip & a Jump Away from Bougainvillea
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented chef and artisan baker open his business literally at our doorstep.
Having an artisan bakery so close to Bougainvillea can be problematic, especially when there are so many deliciously, mouth-watering options available. From sourdough loaves, pastries, cakes and the best cannoli our sales manager has ever eaten!
Not to mention the sour cherry and chocolate hot cross buns Faby baked over Easter, they were absolutely delectable and as you can imagine, incredibly popular at Bougainvillea and no doubt with other locals in the area.
Fabrizio Virzi, (Faby to his loyal customers), was born in Italy, in a city called Padova, not far from Venice.
Faby studied to become a chef and after a few years working in 5-star hotels and restaurants, he decided to go overseas for an experience in the Cayman Islands.
He worked in two of the best fine dining restaurants over there for about seven years before moving to Australia.
When he arrived in Sydney, Faby found a position at Aria restaurant in Circular Quay. He stayed there for over five and a half years as sous chef before moving to Chiswick restaurant in Woollahra.
After the pandemic, he decided to step away from restaurants and started working in a bakery. He worked for three years at Staple in the Northern Beaches and then he finally decided to open his own business. Fortuitously for Bougainvillea’s residents and staff, Faby decided to open his artisan bakery literally at Bougainvillea’s doorstep.
Faby has been working in the food industry for over 20 years now and he values the quality of food, ingredients and their origin. He believes in sustainability and organic ingredients.
All the food Faby sells is made daily in-house, from scratch, from quality ingredients that represent his idea of good food. He bakes in small batches to make sure everyone gets the freshest product possible, and so, he rarely has leftovers.
Faby hates wasting food!!
